Canmore Cross Country Skiing & Telemarking Tours
Inside Out Experience provides fun, safe and memorable Canadian Rockies adventures for all ages and skill levels. During the winter, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing tours are offered. Half- and full-day cross-country ski tours are available that explore either the Kananaskis Valley or the Elbow Valley. Guided snowshoeing tours are two to three hours in length and explore the Elbow or Kananaskis Valley.
Located at the Canmore Nordic Centre, Trail Sports offers guided cross-country ski tours on groomed trails. Tours, lasting an hour and half, features and experienced ski instructor who works with clients in accordance to their ability. Instructors can offer advice and provide technique pointers along the way. Advance booking is required.
An Aboriginal owned and operated interpretive adventure tour company, venture off the beaten path into remote areas of the Canadian Rockies. They offer guided hiking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and dog-sledding tours.
Qualified guides educate visitors about the natural environment and the animals that inhabit the area. Both half and full day tours are available, with snacks and drinks provided.
This Winter Olympic Games venue was built in 1988 and is home to over 70 km (42 mi) of beginner to advanced trails, trackset to accommodate both classic and skating techniques. A 2.5 km (1.6 mi) lighted track allows evening skiing, and a day lodge, ski rentals, lessons and food services are available on-site. In winter, the facility continues to host regional, national and international Nordic and biathlon events, while in summer, the trails are open to mountain bikers (free admission).
